We're working on a new look for the Monzo app

Not sure if anyone else is getting this issue but I no longer seem to get the Instant Notifications… I have to actually open my Monzo app to even see them…

Anyone else having this issue too?

Have you tried going in to settings and turning the notifications off and on? This seems to have sorted it for most people

Thanks mate, I will give it a go and see! appreciated

I’m on the new android app but I don’t have all those options , things like Location-based security etc. ?

There’s quite a few things missing from the Android app that the iOS one has. And the other way about there’s a few things missing on iOS compared to Android. It’s very annoying!

What is the point of that, surely if you are going to make a banking app ( or any app really ) at least make them all the same so all customers get the same features, that’s really naff, especially when it come to important missing items like security etc.

Hopefully this will all be sorted and aligned with the new apps are launched… Hopefully

There is an ever growing list of differences here:

This is one thing I would like in the new app :+1:

Are you suggesting two entries per card spend? So one for the actual spend, then a second entry for the round up?

If so, I’d find that too cluttered. I quite like the little circle showing the amount has been rounded up.

Agreed.

However to the other point, maybe they could show it under the same strip within the app. So instead of two items shown for one transaction. It has a bracket stating how much went into roundup so you don’t need to click into it to see? :man_shrugging:t2:)

Either way I’m happy with how it is now which is it just showing the full roundup

The original idea was to show how much I’ve actually spent in a store and then underneath in smaller writing will be how much is going into my savings pot. Just makes it simple and clean but I would really like to know how much I have actually spend out and not the total which includes money that is still mine (in a pot)

Where would notes or points earning etc go?

Do you envision them being listed underneath the roundup?

I think there were posts made about this over a year ago. People were doing mock-ups and it all looked really good but Monzo never did anything about it. Its still an improvement compared to having 2 feed items per a round-up but it could have been done better…

Fair enough, but however they can do it in the best way possible, I would still like to see the 2 transactions so I can instantly see my shop spend and my pot transfer. As it is now just shows it as one transaction

I’ve just used Monzo in-app chat, rather than the close button I’d like to be able to swipe back.

I’m beginning to not enjoy using the View All button on iOS. I use it so much to look at pots, see savings, check overdraft, look at Monzo points now etc. It doesn’t feel right having all this in a button that’s hard to reach (iPhone Max). Some of this could be taken out and displayed elsewhere, like a points total near the :bell: perhaps. I would prefer accounts to be at the bottom in place of the help button.

I’ve come to this conclusion too.

I very rarely, if ever, look at the help section of the app. The pots / accounts screen is looked at daily, if not multiple times a day. Mainly through anxiety that I have no money in my account due to is mostly being in pots!

I really think the “View all” click-through should be where the current help button is and have the help section up top or in the profile screen.

Can’t you use reachability? I have the XS Max and use reachability to reach ‘View All’… I’m left handed too so have further to reach and it’s fine.

No, it’s a pain to use that when I’m checking View All multiple times a day
