Does anyone else get a notification badge that shows more than the transactions? ie when I pay on JA it says I have 2 when in fact it’s 1

Hi folks, I was just wondering if anyone here uses World Pay with Monzo? I’m wondering if it’s safer for a 'high ticket coach/consultant to use, than Stripe? Reason I ask is that I’ve seen a LOT of talk in the ‘coaching space’ about Stripe being very difficult to work with, which sadly included account closures, frozen funds, money never to be seen again, etc. Thanks!

New here so Hi
I’m due to take pension at 55 and wonder if I can get it paid in to my Monzo account, I would like it separately from my savings account, would it possible to do so as pension customer care wasn’t sure.
Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome!

You can 100% get it paid into Monzo Current Account. You wont be able to get it paid directly into pots but you can use the salary sorter to move it over to a pot of your choosing. Hope this helps.

I personally would recommend that you get pensions paid into a savings account so that you remain in control if/when the pensions people mess up.

Once it’s in my Mozo account, going to move a lot into the savings account with Monzo, thanks for the help :+1:t2:

It’s better for It to go directly into a savings account as then if/when your pension provider gets it wrong, they can’t just reverse the transaction and have to contact you. If you’ve moved it to a savings account later, they can still reverse the transaction and take you into an overdraft.

Not sure if this is a problem with Monzo or with my company, but the early payment feature on Monzo is not showing the correct salary I should’ve earned this month.

While I should have around ÂŁ300, the early payment is only showing +ÂŁ189 that I will receive tomorrow.

I am worried I will not get paid correctly tomorrow, but again, I don’t know if the issue is with Monzo or with my company.

You need to speak with your employer.

Monzo show the amount of money they’ve been advised you’ll be receiving (as BACS payments have a multi-day cycle, so Monzo can see how much money you’re being sent before you get it).

Are they sending two separate payments by any chance (via BACS then the rest via Faster Payments)?

If this is a new job you can sometimes be on an emergency starter tax code, even if you are not liable for tax because you do not meet the earning threshold. That could reduce your pay, sometimes significantly.

You need to follow up with your employer and ask for a payslip to clarify if you have been paid the correct hours and/or whether you are paying the correct taxes for your annual income.

Does anyone know how you get forum badges such as investor and beta user? I am both but never figured out who you contact to have the labels applied, if you can still do so at all.

It’s @AlanDoe :mega:

I get paid on the 27th of this month but the bank holiday is Monday
Will this mean i get paid 15th or the 16th with monday being a bank holiday (pay early)

Neither. It should be the 23rd.

Hi @scottlewin22 & welcome

If you are paid via BACS:

  • Pay date = 27-Aug
  • Get-paid-early date = 4pm+ on 26-Aug - BUT - 26-Aug is Bank holiday, 25-Aug is Sunday, 24-Aug is Saturday, so 4pm+ on Friday 23-Aug is the earliest you’ll be able to claim it.

If you are paid via Faster Payments:

  • Pay date = 27-Aug, no advanced notice, no get-paid-early, you’ll get it when it arrives
