Get Paid Early - "When Will I Get Paid" Calculator

It’s view only, so if you want to type the date you get paid into the box it asks to request access.

This is likely the confusion because what I’d do is copy is to my own drive and edit it there.

So for what it’s worth the calculator has been updated with the 19th as a bank holiday.

Good news for the approximate 2.5% of people who’s pay day is the 19th!

Hi Ben.

I’ve used the calculator (many thanks!) My normal pay day is 20th (so 19th with Monzo) so it sounds like I should get my advance on Friday 16th!! Hope that’s right :+1:

Doesn’t look like my pay for the 20th is showing to be paid early today. Maybe pop up throughout the day. Although usually it’s pending first thing. :crossed_fingers:

Hi! Do you think a Tuesday 20th payday will result in an advance tomorrow? I know normally it would, but has there been enough warning to put this in place?

BACS have declared it a non-processing day; so in line with usual bank holidays - if your employer has hit the deadline it needs it should run in line with what the calculator says.

Edit to add; it will have shifted the processing days by one from what I can tell.

BACS operates on a 3 working day system;
Day 1 - Submission
Day 2 - Processing
Day 3 - Payment.

So normally for Tuesday 20th, the dates would be
Day 1 - Friday 16th
Day 2 - Monday 19th
Day 3 - Tuesday 20th

BACS new dates shift that by one working day to

Day 1 - Thursday 15th
Day 2 - Friday 16th
Day 3 - Tuesday 20th

Basically, your employer would need to have submitted the payment 1 day earlier.

We need a robust system for all the Christmas threads!

Was it @davidwalton that did a “If this day, then this day” for all the Christmas permutations last year?

I think it was @BritishLibrary Ben who did that - for the whole year?

EDIT: Here it is:

Defo. The one earlier today is what brought me here.
