Which Apple Watch do you have ?
I have the series 4 watch, with the cellular connection
I remember it being shared that you can get your monzo balance on your Android wear watch face, has anyone managed to do this?
I’m on Apple Watch Series 4, base model, all black with Space Grey Milanese loop. Really liking Apple Watch.
Had a Series 1 before I upgraded on release day. But I was a pebble guy back in the day. Still got 4/5 different Pebble models at home which get broken out occasionally as the app just about still works on iOS 12. Worried for the future of them when iOS 13 comes out.
Stainless Steel series 2 38mm Apple Watch with Milanese loop
Still got the series 0 and still going strong but tempted by the series 4
Does the series 0 work okay still. As I know you can’t get the latest update os on it.
You’ve made it this far. Hold out! get the 5 on launch day, or pick up a heavily discounted 4 from the upgraders.
Yeah still works fine and does everything I want it to
Sound advice!! Do you think they will release the 5 this year I think they may delay it till next year
I reckon it’ll be announced at the September event alongside the new iPhones, with release 2 weeks after on the Friday of that week.
I reckon the release cycle will be exactly the same as the 4. I don’t think it’ll be put off until next year.
That would be true to form with apple they have released a new one every year since the original
Yes exactly, but I wouldn’t expect any major changes. Same design physically with a few changes mainly done in software.
I hope they get longer battery life so they can bring native sleep tracking to it cause I heard the reason they don’t want to at the moment is cause they don’t want you to have to charge it during the day!
I expect it not to be dramatically longer battery life, but either super efficient battery or ‘fast charging’. I think this is more likely as the battery on the watch is already really good and it seems more logical to have either fast charging so you can wake up and charge it in like 30 mins while you shower. Or to have a super efficient ‘sleep’ mode where you would only use like 15% over night.
But honestly, I’m leaning on the side of neither and some awkward mid point between those two and a larger battery.
Most of this is just down to the GPS signal, you will always find that in built up areas or forested areas as they block a lot of the signal getting to it. More so on watches as the GPS is smaller than in traditional units. It is improving though and moving along quickly.
It’s worth noting that for a good fix a GPS needs to connect to 3 satellites and be static so for a watch to track while moving is quite a big ask really. So to be only 3 miles out over that far isn’t that big really.
Finally took the plunge and retiring my old Apple Watch series 0 and brought myself a Apple Watch series 4 arrives tomorrow for my birthday
That will be quite the upgrade!
I love my Apple Watch series 4. I wear it every day and charge it on a dock next to my bed at night. It can last 2 days, but it seems easier to just charge it every night.
Apple Pay on the Watch is just wonderful.
Yes agree with you is quite an upgrade just starting to get use to the larger screen and is so much faster!!
I’m looking at getting a smartwatch/tracker, torn between Fitbit Charge 3 and the Garmin vivosport
