Hopefully you didn’t take the idea from Netflix’s “La Palma” ![]()
I hate travelling so usually one holiday per year (6/7 days).
Spent a few days in Cartagena, Colombia. Stayed mostly in the colonial area, quite beautiful and well kept.
It’s been quite nice here today but like you expecting rain tomorrow
Went to Transnistria on a whim. Strange place. They really need to learn you can put salt/grit on the pavements during winter. Never been somewhere so slippy.
Well we are up in the mountains and we’ve had torrential rain, some thunder & Lightning and even a bit of hail thrown into the mix
next stop Ronda
Just standard rain on the coast.
Ronda is pretty cool. I’ve seen snow there in the past.
That looks beautiful.
We were so close to an Italian Roadtrip through the Dolomites but swerved right (far right) to the Caribbean instead ![]()
It will be our first proper Caribbean and I’m quite looking forward to it.
Those tracks in streets always amaze me, everyone just sitting there.
It’s good fun quite startling the first time it goes past, the current schedule seems to be 7:10 and 7:20 pm whereas all the others are an hour or so apart, so evening is the best time to go to see two
I’ve handed my notice into work and could now be doing with a week away before I start looking for a new job ![]()
what sites are you all using for some cheap holidays to somewhere warm.
I start by using Google Flights to find the flights first. The hotel and the rest comes after.
Ah so you book everything separately, wouldn’t mind doing that but my wife likes a package holiday in case things go wrong she said.
Yeah I usually book everything separately.
When I’ve booked a package I usually book with British Airways Holidays. Once did EasyJet Holidays too. You could check on Jet2, TUI, Expedia, or a local travel agency.
I could offer my travel advisor services but I don’t sell packages (and I don’t think self promotion is allowed on here?
)
We look around but almost always end up using TUI or EasyJet. Others tend to look cheaper but actually cut a load of things you probably need out to get the price right.
Thomas Cook (remember them) is now also a travel search and seems to sometimes give new deals.
We’ve also had success finding accommodation on booking and getting flights via sky scanner.
Others might have had a better experience but one site I’d avoid is Expedia. The deals look super good but that’s because the flights are appaling and they’re not honest.
We tried to book a holiday via this site which explicitly said it was all inclusive. It turned out not to be, and Expedia couldn’t seem to understand why this was a problem. I’m still waiting for the refund to drop off a week and a half later.
