New plus card came! But already opened 😫

A better question would be if Coral cards come in the same packaging.

Last time I got one it was in a standard horizontal envelope and nothing like this perforated square one.

This happened to mine too. I’m confident that the card was not handled however and I have gone on to activate it.

This would drive my ocd and paranoia through the roof until the point where I can’t sleep. I’ll definitely order a replacement/s until I receive one fully sealed. Might seem pathetic but I overthink alot

If mine arrives partially opened I won’t be activating it for exactly this reason, I would be constantly worrying that I will wake up to an empty account…

Exactly, knowing my luck that’ll happen to me and I’ll just sit in a corner and cry :sob:

I feel like the only one who had a totally sealed envelope!

Same problem here with the open envelope. Don’t really want to risk activating it, so have requested another one through chat … Just when I wanted to use it’s shiny-ness

My partner just joined Monzo and her card came in the dark blue envelope like mine did ages ago

My card has just came like this…

But what’s actually concerning me the most is when Ive opened it the card isnt sitting flush in the holder and it does appear to have been removed at some point? Unless im being paranoid?

That looks flush to me? The way it’s cut looks like it’s a ā€˜slide up-and-down’ holder, not a ā€˜clip in at all four corners’ one.

This is what I was unsure about. I was wondering how other peoples cards have arrived?

Yeah, packaging like that will get movement from just going through the mail system unopened. It’s not something to worry about. The great big sticker on the front would be my only worry.

The Royal Mail sticker didnt actually help me determine the damage unfortunately. I slowly peeled it away but I couldnt tell how much of the perforation had been already opened.

I read on this blog that the cards were being made in France. But im wondering why there’s french writing on the Royal Mail sticker?

Have you ever received mail like this from France before @rjevski ?

Mine arrived today partially opened across the top, but i had to ā€œpopā€ the rest to get in so it’s all good.

Seems like the strip was a little tight for feedback. At least the card is excellent quality tho

This is the way I wish mine had of turned up. The Royal Mail sticker has done more for confusion than anything.

It’s up to you but me, personally, I’d contact and ask for a new one (your old one should still work on Apple Pay till you activate the new one)

Any letter opened, officially or not, is In my mind compromised. You have not way of providing those card details have not been noted down by a Royal Mail employƩe

Already on the case…Chat’s passed it to ā€œa specialist teamā€

Partially broken perforated strip for me too:

Our Monzo Plus cards are made by our manufacturers in Vitre, a small town in Brittany, France.

Each card is printed then packaged by hand.

I Wonder who’s doing the packaging? I reckon its a toss up between The Hulk and The Thing from Fantastic Four

I think it’s a packaging defect. The perforated card at the top seems to be delicate so likely to break partially/fully open during shipping when it gets caught or knocked against other post!
