So Monzo Premium has nearly been out for six months (thanks to @Nicbrown for reminding me!)
In the spirit of the MonzoPlus polls (and the Monzo Premium Flash Poll), I thought it’d be useful to see what folks’ intent is regarding Monzo Premium!

I thought I’d create a new topic for people to discuss reasons why they may or may not be cancelling Monzo Premium after the minimum term ends at the end of March for those who signed up in the first few days.
I’m undecided at the moment - it’s not that I’m disappointed in the features it provides, but that I don’t feel like I need them and Plus would suffice.
Thought I’d give it a try, see if it was worthwhile for me instead of standalone packages for insurance.
I thought I’d be travelling much more this year but that’s not going to be happening now so the lounge discounts and insurance aren’t as good a deal any more when all I’m using is the features of Plus.
Don’t even use my card these days so there’s no point paying to flex a metal card either
Makes sense. Everyone’s in the same boat though so I imagine most people will have similar reasoning if they do decide to cancel - probably didn’t need a new thread for it as it’s been discussed at length on the other Plus/Premium threads.
Interesting to see virtual cards as the top Plus/Premium feature. I have a free Revolut account and can generate something like 5 virtual cards per month. Worth bearing in mind if you were considering upgrading to Plus or Premium just for this.

Another poll and still it’s really Google Export that keeps me paying the £5 a month, and I think that’s worth it for me. I am the most on top of my finances that I’ve ever been. It’s been my hard work to build a dashboard and then rebuild it for what I actually need, but now I know what is going on with my money in very good detail.
Could I cope without it? Probably. Now that I know I’m set up but I like better controls of my budget, I like the categories, I like the comparisons to last month.
Previously I said that if I wanted to cut down on my spending that even though it’s just £5, Plus would go first. I’m not sure that’s the case anymore. But it’s not because Monzo have improved or done anything special which is a bit of a shame.
Voted for Joint Accounts too. Partly for David but partly because I’ll need/want one this year I expect.
I’m going to move from Premium back to Plus. I thought the mobile insurance would be worth £10 a month, and when we had staff in the launch thread say we could get iPhones repaired by Apple, I jumped in.
Now it turns out that isn’t the case, and we have to use a non-genuine repair company (killing the warranty & resale value of the phone), I’m done with that. Not worth £10/m to keep a half metal, half plastic card that looks like shit after a few months. I was sent a replacement as my first card was defrauded, and the second already looks terrible too.
Things Monzo Premium can improve to get me back:
Remove the contactless from the metal card, and make it 100% metal.
Phone insurance where I can get a repair from the manufacturer and be reimbursed
