The ā€˜haves’ will just have it before the ā€˜have nots’. and as i say you weight feedback and usage tests to remove bias. Also, if the ā€˜haves’ are paying then they should be given preferential treatment on new features because they are paying.

And right there is the problem with tiered bank accounts.

Having extras such as insurance is all fair game. But creating a membership subscription model called ā€œPlusā€ and elevating those who can afford to invest their own money into ā€œInvestorsā€ endangers Monzo giving them a skewed feeling of superiority.

Monzo is a bank, not a private member’s club. Alienate the core banking customer at your peril.

Ability to pay should not mean ability to access and shape the app*

(*which at the moment I know is not Monzo’s plan)

While I guess it maybe is random, there seem to be some very active Monzo fans on here who seem to be randomly chosen for new things a lot :joy:

Access yes.

Shape no.

As I have said now three times. Simply giving access is fine and then you weigh the feedback on random opinions. It means those who pay do not have a stronger view but you give those who pay the benefit of access early.

Any idea which iPhone insurance Monzo will use? Same day replacement will be nice :ok_hand:

If yo uare aware of any really good providers it might be worth suggesting it there though

Does sound unlikely then that Monzo would be able to offer it then, at least initially

But for @jonas to mention they must have somebody in mind?

I took the roadmap more to be an aim than a definitive plan of what they have.

I’ve activated my card but do not have the Plus app icon choice option. Any tips?

@tjvr I have the option to sign up to Plus and I want to! But I like all my bills to come out the same time each month, the 21st, to coincide with payday.

I’ll wait till the 21st to sign up as that will be my renewal date but I may miss out on the early bird, is there a way of changing the start/pay date?

I’ve just gone to sign up and held off as don’t get paid until next week

Like you’ve said not the end of the world but it’d be nice to align the payment with my other bills

I can’t think of any good reason why in theory you can’t. Or shouldn’t. This is Monzo’s own charge. It absolutely should be something they can change.

Yeah it would be nice if we can change the payment date. Hopefully this can added in.

Agree with this too. All my direct debits are setup to be on or around the 1st of each month to help me manage my finances better.

Haven’t met anyone other than the AA who can’t change the date.
