Would be great to do, If out of UK, categorise all transactions as “Holiday” and “exclude from summary”
I assume this type of Applet can be made in the future after some updates?

Yes. Just for those cases where I’m at the till and my balance is too low, may change it to £20 though

It’s a workaround, but it works!
I’ve set up a contact called “Monzo Pots” with email address trigger@apppet.ifttt.com.

Just created a custom applet that sends you a notification (through the IFTTT app) to demotivate you from buying your lunch (at a particular merchant).
It will tell you how much you have potentially wasted by buying lunch instead of investing the money over 10 years. This version just calculates the 1 off loss. I’ll attempt to make another applet that works out what the loss would be if you kept buying your lunch every day.

Seems there’s no trigger for just words I tweet, otherwise I’d love a digital swear box. Seems to only have triggers for hashtags

Here is how to do that:
create an rss feed of your twitter page via https://twitrss.me/
Then add a rss trigger for keywords on IFTT like this
You now have a tweet swear pot

So the coffee water reminder worked without any issue. I have added a second applet that with withdraw the cost of the coffee from my ‘Treat Jar’ - this happens after the transaction but I like the double action.
It has added a reminder for two hours hence which to me feels just about the right time.
Here’s a clip of the reminder added:

Here’s my next applet - it was really neat when I tested it today. It basically will call you after the transaction and read out the place and amount charged.
I set this up for the Co-op for testing purposes but it could be anywhere. In the future, it could be useful for say an incoming payment (once implemented) when a call would be better than just a notification.
I could also see this as maybe helpful to anyone with a visual impairment - as this would speak the details of the last transaction made - well, I am perhaps reaching here, but it was pretty cool to hear my purchase read back to me.

Amazing ! Im trying to do a similar logic with a toast notification over the TV screen at home, its Android TV.
So if watching tv and something comes out, can get a lil notification. Just seeing what possible ways can use this more for the fun!

Last one but this is work in progress and not working as yet…
I have opened a Flickr account for this, and the idea is to have the MerchantLogo uploaded to it with transaction details in the photo title - I will then set this photostream up as my Apple TV’s screensaver - so I can review in a visual way, the places (and amounts) I frequent.
It is more for the geekery - as it’s a tad sad to want to see this logos on a big screen.
However, I have hit a block.
The ingredient MerchantLogo seems to be a ifttt redirect short link and so an image gets uploaded with all the meta data as per the recipe, however it shows as IMAGE NOT FOUND…
Can I parse in this ingredient as simply as I have below? How would I get the final image URL into that Flickr upload box?
I can see that MerchantLogo returns for my last Nero transaction:
