OK thanks - so not available to me yet then…
I don’t have TestFlight - so will need to wait for the app update.
This is awesome, I gave it a go, the ability to save it to iPhone Files or cloud storage as well, brilliant work!
Is it possible for the statement PDFs to be digitally signed by Monzo?
This could help, eventually, moving away from this really weird thing of “provide a bill from the last X months” system to something which can be verified instantly by a third-party (upload PDF, does it match a public key of someone we trust? etc)
In principle, that’s great. In reality, do you think the kind of organisations that insist on paper statements even comprehend digital signatures as a concept?
Don’t get me wrong, I love the idea… but a digitally signed PDF won’t help, me thinks
they would ask you to cut and paste the digital signature and print it out on paper LOL
It would still allow new players to actually take advantage of it if want to - a signature wouldn’t hurt so why not have it?
I was thinking still offer the paper versions, but for forward thinking companies (like Monzo themselves) they could start accepting PDFs with digital signatures on bills/statements.
I’m not able to create a statement for some reason, it’s being looked in to though, as the cop wasn’t able to create one for me either.
Is there a way to generate Bank Statements that aren’t aligned to the beginning and end of each month? I get paid during the middle of the calendar month so it would be great to see how much I was spending between pay-cheques!
Hopefully soon - it’s part of Monzo’s April updates.
Hi @bea - this feature seems to have disappeared now with Summary tab. Can you please let us know how I can download my statements and with custom range?
They are located under the accounts page where you can view your account number etc. alternatively you can turn off summary as a temp measure
You are right, thank you, found it
Agree whole heartedly.
I don’t want to submit my complete bank statement to my finance administrator. As well as showing my 2am leather paddle purchases it also adds confusion to the claim.
My Barclaycard allowed me to allocate each item into a category and then export that category within a selected date range. It was convoluted and could only be done through the desktop so most of the time I couldn’t be bothered. I’m sure Monzo could make a neat in-app job of it.
The CSV export is REALLY useful and includes all the local currency rate (€, $). Unfortunately my company do not accept it as evidence to support an expenses claim.
Ideally we could export the spending category as a pdf with all the info that is included in the CSV report.
Unfortunately the bank statements do not show local currency charge or for-ex rate so they can’t be used for an overseas expenses claim.
