My homescreen has had 90% the same layout for the last 6 years, even the changes are swapping one app for another that is the same type of app.
This angers me
All those notifications are making me itchy.
The only thing I find distracting is the background is busy and clashes with all the icons.
I always prefer subtle backgrounds or block colours.
The iPhone has been so boring for so long, these recent announcements have made it interesting again.
Sad as it is, the thing I’m probably looking forward to most is finally being able to move the app icons to the bottom of the Home Screen
I’m undecided on the AI stuff atm, will wait for reviews before deciding if it’s worth upgrading for.
But it’s a 777
Inspired by peoples screenshots I’ve actually just shuffled some apps around.
I don’t imagine it’ll change when I install iOS 18 either.
Quite liking this thread. Not because of iOS but I like the fact I can nosey at what apps people are using.
I like how all of us put like one or two banks on are home page and then just fill a folder with the rest we don’t use xD
I used to do that but not anymore, just main bank on homescreen now.
I have Metro Bank on my home screen as they hold my savings
I don’t keep any apps on my homescreen I’m a bit boring.
Big icons is the only thing I’m using, but I don’t like the massive empty space it leaves at the bottom.
We have threads for this
Interesting that you all have the Search thing enabled on your Home Screen. It’s the first thing I turned off because you can get to it with a partial swipe from the top of the screen anyway. Also, I kept tapping it accidentally.
I didn’t know you can turn it off, I also don’t think I’ve ever touched it accidentally or purposefully.
If you turn it off it’s just replaced with the Home Screen indicator dots. So I might as well keep it as it’s not giving me back any more space.
Habit to tap search when wanting the clock app to set/check my alarms.
Habit
Think you should check your messages, is that what it’s like to have friends?
