Glad the 12 supports it, now I can watch my battery rapidly drain in real time
Hope that’s an oversight. Feels like a d*** move if it’s some sort of differentiation.
For my money Samsung’s high end screens are at least as good, or marginally better (for my money).
That said, screen on my 13PM is just outstanding.
How’s the latest beta going - haven’t jumped in yet but still tempted. Things I’m concerned about:
Would I need to install the watchOS beta?
Have any data formats changed that would cause interactivity issues with devices running the latest stable OS on the same iCloud account?
No, it’s not necessary.
Anecdotal, of course, but I’ve had nothing go screwy in my iCloud account.
Thanks - good to know
I’d recommend not installing a beta on your watch. If you want to downgrade for any reason you have to send it off to Apple to downgrade it. Not sure if there is a charge for it.
Oh and Apple Stores can’t do it either - unless that changed in the last 2 years
Quite - hence why I asked the question.
This bug is funny. Pressing where the address should be works fine. I reported it. Can’t wait for no response (I know they look at it all)
Had to happen some day. Trivial to find an alternative, by all accounts…
I’m sure that some ORGanisation will pop up soon
I mean, at this point in the cycle the public beta comes out the day after the dev beta, so it’s no major deal.
I suspect that too, more and more “non dev” folk end up downloading the profile anyway and since apple are evidently keen on reducing the volume of third party vs in-house dev (with obvious exceptions such as banks etc) it wouldn’t surprise me.
This would make sense. And basically have a year to decide. Only really a problem for June. Then PB is out anyway.
From what I have read (maybe on here) once you have a Dev account for one year you can still access betas years late so really a one off $99 if that is and continues to hold true (still not worth it in my opinion though!)
Not for me and some others that I know of, so don’t count on this.
Just to clarify, I had a Dev account for 3 years and I still get all the emails associated with it but the dev profile page is empty now.
Installed the beta and all OK so far, apart from a couple of apps.
Freetrade had completely logged me out and sent me a new magic link to login again. Also had to set up the PIN and enable Face ID again.
The Eufy app had also logged me out and wouldn’t authenticate me - a “401 unauthorised” error. I had to reinstall the app to fix that.
Probably just corrupted data or cache during the upgrade.
Also recently had to log back in to Freetrade and Eufy and never thought about it being linked to the betas!
