On what device?
Either that’s a bug or you’ve just got a load of people to stare at their phone’s intently while they spin them around…but would be cool if it did do.
Can you post a screenshot of it running upside down?
(I know that sounds insane but I want to see how the UI is laying itself out for you around the notch)
Edit: oooh with and without keyboard please
Yeah I was wondering what the home bar would do, and if the globe/speech recognition buttons would be pushed up the screen or flow down into the ‘ears’.
Anyway, you’ve got yourself a bug. It’ll probably go away if you restart your phone - or maybe even force quit safari.
My 13PM definitely doesn’t rotate upside down.
Mine doesn’t rotate on my 13 pm either
No idea … downloading it now … and I don’t read the release notes
https://developer.apple.com/documentation/ios-ipados-release-notes/ios-ipados-16-release-notes
I might for this version of the public beta on my iPhone.
Huh… wasn’t it always there
edit: NVM
I like that
I’ve always had battery percentage if I swipe down from the top-right, or do you mean on the main screens?
I’ve never found this a good guide to how much is left below around 50%. The icon can look pretty low, even with 40% remaining.
Ah yes, I knew that. I’ve had iPhones since the first O2-only ones. I can’t remember which version of iOS introduced battery percentage, though - 3? 4?
Interesting, I have an iPhone 11 Pro and it shows, I presumed this would be the case for all notch phones. Anyway, glad you can disable it as I’m not sure it’s all that nice looking.
Sidenote: LOL at some of the teardown videos on YouTube saying “Finally the best feature for iOS 16 is included” - it’s a battery percentage at the end of the day…
iOS public beta 3 is out now
Thought 5 just came out?
Dev 5, PB 3 (PB a day or so after dev mid cycle, but the same thing)
The battery percentage is back for all notch phones apart from the mini from what I can see.
Not the 11 or the XR…
