Been with Monzo for a while now but only recently switched over all my direct debits. I’ve even convinced my partner to join and we’ve now opened our first joint account.
I’m really interested in the #ifttt side of things and I am excited to see how this area develops because the potential is huge. This weekend I’ll be playing about creating my own private applets utilising my javascript knowledge to see how far I can push the currently available hooks.
I’ve not had any difficulties yet and I consider myself quite tech savvy but I do have brain farts from time to time so I’m sure that thread will come in handy - I’ve bookmarked it
ifttt and pots were what tipped me over the edge into moving full Monzo. I’ve also seen the how quickly they’re progressing through the “big list” so the future is exciting. Especially since they’re transparent and open to all ideas!
I am Martin a remote working software developer. I just opened an account today with the primary goal to use Monzo as pocket money account and to explore the API.
Hey @anon39541057!!
Welcome! You got any holiday plans already set? Have a search on the boards for the country your going to, usually lots of feedback from other people on here for the places to use your card vs cash etc!

Use your sort code and account number to transfer cash from your other bank account - and spend it!
Be aware that if you are abroad, you have up to £200 per rolling 30 days of free ATM withdrawals (unlimited in the UK), but you’ll get a great rate using your card to pay in shops, cafes, etc. Always pay in local currency so you don’t get ripped off.
