I used to be able to click on to a shared tab and it would display the total amount spent on the tab since it was opened. We normally track this figure monthly, now thereās a new user interface I cannot seem to find this number anywhere. Can anybody help me find it?
If you go to add something to shared tab from the main Monzo transactions screen you then see the amount on that view, noticed it on there yesterday
I donāt use Monzo shared tabs. I use Splitwise instead. I was already using it for a long time before I had a Monzo account and I havenāt really been tempted to try transitioning to Monzo shared tabs. Main reason is Splitwise works fine for me and another reason is I suspect it would be harder to convince non-Monzo users to open a Monzo bank account just to use a shared expenses feature than it is to convince people to open a Splitwise account.
This is exactly what I needed, thank you!
Hello all, thank you for all the feedback. I come back with an exciting news. We have launched our first improvement to shared tabs today: you can now add people outside Monzo to shared tabs.
More details can be found here- Shared tabs can now support people outside Monzo
We will continue to improve shared tabs in coming days, so you will hear more from us soon.
All your feedback has been super valuable. Thank you for the support!
This is terrible!!!
Such an absolute waste of space
This isnt something that should be present all the time.
Move settle up to the top please!
Pay tab needs to be at the top for sure, so much scrolling and wasted space now.
I would like to also add that we should be able to change the payment dates for the perks plans that we sign up for each month instead of the standard way as that would be most convenient for people.
@abbidsuleman & welcome
This request would have better posted in the topic about paid plans:
Hi
Is there a way I can find the total for all payments in a Shared Tab? This information used to live at the bottom of each Tab but with the recent updates itās been removed.
It seems like a crazy design decision but itās driving me mad. Iām now having to manually enter hundreds of transactions into a Google Doc for multiple Shared Tabs to do this manuallyā¦
Not loving the changes.
The ability to setup a scheduled payment to settle up a tab. As you would for any other type of scheduled payment.
Just bumping this up as we so desperately need the ability to partially settle tabs. We are currently going through quite a lot of hoops to work around this.
It would be great if a virtual card could be linked to a shared tab so that any transactions made on it are automatically added to the shared tab. Even without the ability to edit the split from equal it would be useful still
Also the ability to see which transactions have been added to the shared tab in the general activity list (like a small icon on the main transaction icon)
THIS please. My partner and I canāt get a joint account at the moment for credit score reasons, but having a separate card that auto splits would fully resolve that problem (and a HUGE differentiator against other banks - Iāve not seen any other bank doing this)
While it may be a nice idea, there may be regulatory hurdles involved to āautomateā bill splitting, which is why it needs to be a manual and conscious process. This may also mean people decide not to have a joint account which would be against Monzoās interest.
But who knows, they may surprise us.
@VaniGoel is shared tabs still being worked on? Particularly partial settlement? An update would be greatly appreciated
Not adding partial payment, one of the most requested feature in shared tabs is hilarious. The new update to shared tab isnāt really something the community voted on. The community constantly asked for the ability to partially settle tabs, edit individual payments, add bank transfers to shared tabs and other stuff which arenāt that difficult to implement logically either.
Not being able to partially settle is a huge mistake.
And move the settle up button to the top!
Totally agree, itās an absolute nightmare having to track things on spreadsheets.
Come on Monzo, you know you can do it
