Half-life has 90% off and is currently 71p if you haven’t got it already
Thanks! I got it for free over the weekend and got HL2 for 80-something pence today.
Bloody hell. It probably cost me 7000% more than that when I bought my copy in 1998
Black Mesa is the upgraded version of Half Life 1 and on sale.
Black Mesa was ace (on PC) - that Hydra ‘thing’ in the cylindrical tower - proper Boss tackle.
Anyone been playing the Game Boy/Color/Advance games on Switch?
Nah. There’s some on there I want to play, but time constraints and ever extending backlog of new games means I just never get around to it
I relived my youth by playing the GBC version of the Pokémon Trading Card Game.
If only I still had my actual cards. I think they’re worth a few quid now
Just finished Like A Dragon: Gaiden and the ending was like a gut punch. Incredible, incredible franchise.
I know there’s a lot of games to play. But for those who haven’t played any of the series, I would highly recommend doing so, starting with Yakuza 0. Some of the best storytelling in gaming.
Glad I don’t have to wait much longer for the next one! Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth drops in January.
Finally upgraded my SD card in my Switch from 128gb to 512gb, only cost £27 in Black Friday sale and I only had 1.2gb left on my 128gb lol.

Does anyone have this, or similar, that’ll charge both Xbox and PS5 controller?
Not a steam sale but TLOU Part 1 (PC) is like £25 on Cdkeys atm down from 50?
Why do I feel like tomorrow’s GTA trailer will break the internet?
No idea. I don’t personally see the appeal of those games, so I’m not particularly interested. But if the rest of the internet is anything like I was waiting for the Godzilla trailer to drop yesterday, you’re probably right.
Personally it’s not for me. I haven’t played GTA since San Andreas came out, and I didn’t really like it then either.
I loved GTA 5. But the series will need a major gameplay update to capture my interest again.
Rockstar do tell a good story though. I’ll watch the trailer at some point.
GTA 6 is an instabuy for me. Rockstar know how to create a cultural event like no one else.
Can’t wait to see all the GTA style art on billboards and everywhere else closer to release. There’s very few games where you can look at a billboard with no recognisable characters and still just know what it’s for.
Believe it or not I haven’t played a GTA since literally the first game in like 1998 or whenever that was.
I may finally jump on the hype train this time around. Depends when it comes out.
I’m currently a handful of chapters into Spider-Man 2 and thoroughly enjoying it.
The section where Black Cat steals the Wand of Watoomb from the Sanctum Sanctorum and then leads you on a chase through various portals including the Arctic was insane! The letter from Wong at the end when he magics it back to himself was a nice touch.
Gouranga! It was 1997, I remember it well because I was at college at the time and it felt faintly subversive sneaking into town to buy a game from HMV that half the country was convinced would soon be banned due to how outrageous it was. (And it can’t have been that long after the same thing happened all over again with Carmageddon.)
I did play the first three 3D games, though I thought they peaked with Vice City, as San Andreas lacked something, and was too dragged out and boring. By the time the realistic GTAs rolled around, I’d moved on from console gaming (still haven’t got anything newer than an Xbox 360).
