Email Service Providers

Mine is open all day

For privacy conscious people, there is no alternative to the native apps.

Just look at the privacy policy on apps like Spark (which I like the look of).

Can’t beat a bit of Proton Mail

Just Gmail, it does a job…

If I didn’t still have a free Google apps account to use with my own domain I would probably use Fastmail.

I have my own domain hosted by G Suite (formerly Google Apps) and another on Office 365. I like both. I find Outlook feels more ‘worky’ and G Suite feels more ‘personal’ but probably because that’s how things have always been divided for me. But then, I’ve had some work accounts on Google too so it’s a thin line.

Haven’t used many others but those two are definitely the two most stable and fully featured email options I’ve used.

I use gmail for personal account & Office 365 for my Business use

Because the company I own can resell Office 365 products to my customers it just makes sense to use it myself.

I use Apple just so I can have a cool @me.com address :sunglasses:

I use Gmail desktop, inbox on my phone (hate inbox on desktop)

My gmail pulls in from my hotmail address and some other inboxes too. I have a ton of filters set up as i can get several thousand emails per day :frowning:

We use to use roundcube when I was back in school

Zoho because its free for me to use my domain.

Also Zoho. Only for IMAP/SMTP (and the Android app), though.

That is good to know!

What’s this :eyes::confused:

I love spark :zap:

I think the same can be said for any 3rd party email service that needs to push emails to you, but if you are curious, have a read:

Yes, it surprises some people that Outlook for iOS (and I assume Android) also stores your email account credentials on their own servers. It also doesn’t send directly through the outgoing SMTP server that you specify as your mail goes to their servers first.

I never had work mail on my phone because the exchange settings allowed them to wipe my device, the settings exchange asks for on android can be ridiculous

I’ve had a Gmail account since they were a thing. I use Inbox on my phone and standard Gmail on the web

I use Gmail for my spam/junk/social media signups since it groups everything. It confuses me sometimes and is horrific to use on a mobile browser but I don’t use it often enough so I don’t download the mobile app. I’m probably on 4000+ unread emails but cba to go in and unsubscribe from YouTube/ Twitter etc. notifications.

I’m also still on the Yahoo account my dad signed me up when I was 7  and I like Outlook too.

I use Astro client on MacBook for my work email which is basically a Gmail via G Suite.

For personal use I have @msn.com email address which is basically an outlook. It was created when Gmail didn’t exist now I tend to use Gmail though, all emails get forward to my Gmail account and I have setup msn.com email address as an alias there.

Currently using Gmail. But thinking about setting up a new account with my domain.
Does anyone have this setup with protonmail? It costs a few euros a month for your own domain.
