Much smaller than her current tracker. She’s a husky with really thick fur, and her tags virtually disappear anyway. The sizing dimension are similar to that of her name tag which is pretty small.
And me! I was a bit distracted during that sentence so can’t recall if it received functionality like HDMI switching or not. Hoping it has. That’s all it needs for me.
I’m fortunate my dog’s name is only 4 letters long then!
Small side note, is the key ring accessories are not cheap. Same price as the tag itself, and in some cases more expensive
Address and owner name are legal requirements on your pets name tag, which mine already includes. I do have her name on it too, but that’s not much of a concern because, although she knows her name, she’ll never respond to it. But in a situation if she were to get lost or injured and feel scared, Someone finding her and using her name, can help calm her, because it’s a familiar sound.
I did a lot of research into this many years back, and spoke to several vets and dog trainers, and decided the pros of including her name outweigh the risks for the eventuality I’m trying to safeguard against, which is loss. A debate for another thread though, because there are passionate and logical arguments on both sides of whether or not you should include your pet’s name on their tag.
Hadn’t realised that if a product integrated with Find My it can’t also be used in a third party app!
So I guess there is a downside as tile would then have separate iOS-only trackers and its own network would just get smaller.
Idk what my view is of this sort of ‘competition’ cus ovi they are fucked now. And it obviously sucks for bigger companies to come in and just dominate a new arena instantly (e.g. Amazon with half of the stuff it does).
But I think I do know I won’t be getting new Tiles
Well I just had time to catch up on the event and I must say I’m blown away more so than by any recent Apple event
I’m never a fan of Apple bringing out new iPhone colours mid-cycle as it’s always a colour I’d love but I tend to upgrade on day 1
The AirTags seem like a big improvement over competing products but I never needed a tracker thing, maybe over time I’ll consider one.
The Apple TV is the big one I’ve been waiting for so although it’s not a huuuge upgrade over the previous ATV 4K, it’s hopefully a lot more futureproof now
The iMac is the one that struck me the most – I really like the bold colours, I hope they’ll come to iPhone next year too. But I was just shocked how much thinner the M1 made it. It’s now essentially a supersized iPad on a stand
And the M1 iPad maybe means Apple will, over time, bring iPad and Mac closer together and hopefully one day iPad will be a true Surface Pro competitor
Just caught up. iMac is stunning, iPad is woah! Air tags seem useful but pricey with a key ring. TV is ok, remote looks good. Makes we want shiny new things but the prices are pricey (for me at least)
Hoping for some big Apple TV and iPad OS software updates at WWDC, the tech is there, time to bring the software up to scratch.
I’m more hopeful for iPad OS then Apple TV based off previous years. Currently have an Apple TV that’s a few years old but won’t upgrade because it’s just not worth it currently, Sky Q’s addition of apps over the last few years mean the Apple TV in it’s current form is redundant for me
