App down? [Issue Resolved]

Does anyone know when the app will be up, and runningand can i use my card?

Whilst it’s down you can do everything but transfers in and out of Monzo, you can still move money between Monzo and make card payments s well as freeze and unfreeze your card

Can still use backup app as well for some things if needed.

It should display automatically though is just text

Keep evidence if you incur any late payment fees you should be able to reclaim them from Monzo directly (they’re mandated to put you back to the position you were in before the failed payment)same with your credit score keep a note of who you talked to if you do and what they say

Thanks. It’s only a Samsung subscription to the art store. Email said they’ll try again 3 days and if it fails again my subscription will end (it’s just a monthly recurring thing).

Hopefully fixed by then. Can see there’s plenty of money in the pot that the card would take the funds from but unable to manage virtual cards with the basic app functionality.

Ooh, never seen the backup system in action before.

All the pots and accounts (between me, my joint account, and my childrens’ accounts) are displayed in what appears to be a random order. I can transfer money in and out of pots, but only out of savings accounts. I can freeze my physical debit cards and see their PIN, but not the full number; and with virtual cards can only see the last four digits.

Given a lot of banks would just put up a ‘sorry, we’re closed’ sign on their apps if the backend went down, I’m not going to complain about having this level of basic functionality.

Yep Monzo’s secondary system is better than most banks and even neobank apps for basic functionality. As you said some of which would just throw a sorry we’re down for maintenance sign or show a broken app with little to no warning it’s having issues
