Yoti- Digital ID on your phone

Ok everyone I might be wrong ok. :joy::joy:

While it has bad reviews for not being accepted or looks kinda shady, I’ve used in both online and in store and have been pleased with the results.

However you all have your own opinion. I chose to post this because I thought it be a good idea and while I still think it is, I also think we should wait until they start getting approved or become more popular in business places.

But in terms of apps that is what actually happens - the reviews for YOTI on the play store are horrific - it sounds like from every angle it’s a bad product.

I’m sure someone will crack the digital ID space so the concept is a good one but it’s not going to be YOTI and as an investor I would not want monzo wasting their time hooking up with such a company.

Not now. The future is a strange thing so only time will tell.

I’ll be honest, the reviews about Yoti make it look like a stupid or otherwise crap idea.

However at the end of the day that’s just life. Like I said, the future is strange and only time will tell.

Well that’s passed half hour for me, best get back to my course work

Wait why cigarettes and energy drinks but not alcohol.

Guessing it’s licensing laws about if you ask for ID what you can accept whereas tobacco is just don’t sell to under 18s and energy drinks there’s no law.

When I need to verify someone’s passport I scan the NFC chip, confirm that details on the chip match those that are printed, verify the TLS certificate chains, and check that said document was not revoked by the issuing government…

It is very concerning that Google Pay, Apple Pay do not let one to tap their passport to add ID to then be verified in stores, clubs, etc.

Not sure I quite understand that - why is it very concerning that they don’t allow that? Apologies in advance if I misunderstood what you meant.

I would rather not there be potential for it to be recorded that I went to x shop bought 20 Bensons and a 4 pack of Heineken. (You could say this about card payment but PCI stops this)

It’s like pandoras box.
