@Dannytc I prefer being paid by BACS as I know it will always hit my account at 1AM, does the time your FPS hit vary?
It’s also cheaper for the organisation to use I believe.

@neovo If you open the app and tap the last transaction when you were paid there will be an option to send money back if it’s sent via FPS. If there isn’t it’s probably BACS.
Right, just found out universal credit is transferred thru bgc.
So not sure if I will get the amount the previous day…

You would seeing anything that uses BACs in your account the previous working day. So yes, if you’re due to receive on a Monday you would see it waiting to clear in your account all weekend.
Bank giro credit universal credit pay by.they don’t pay by bacs system.
I’m pretty sure I’ve seen it as a direct credit the day before on this end for any benefit payments etc, so should be included

Whilst not wishing to seem pedantic at least 2 of us have pointed out that this feature was already available with FD.
Couldn’t you now end up with two reversals, Ebay’s one and Monzo’s?
I doubt it as they won’t actually collect the money, it was just an authorization to check it was active.

Nope - it negates the timeout of the reversal when a customer uses the self service reversal.
How comes some come up as active card checks whereas others do the small amount and just let you wait till it expires?

It’s the merchant that picks how they check if your card is active.
Why they can’t all copy Google on that one, I don’t know.
