Where are you from and where do you live now?

From Glasgow, live in Glasgow, wouldn’t move from Glasgow. Love it. :black_flag:󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Born and raised in Newcastle Upon Tyne… Home of Brown Ale, Ant & Dec, Auf Wiedersehen Pet, Alan Shearer and the greatest manager of all time… Sir Bobby Robson…

Now I live in Port Glasgow, Scotland… which is neither a Port or in Glasgow…

Carlisle to Barrow… interesting.

I suppose technically I was born in Barrow but only because Ulverston doesn’t have a hospital haha :joy:

Ah, well, my mum is from Essex. I actually have no idea why she was in Carlisle when I was born…

Was born in Bedford and lived in Biggleswade (10/15 minutes away) ever since. Had a brief stint in Nottingham for university but really disliked city living so am glad to be back in the countryside!

I have an uncle who lives near there! He lives in Sandy.

I was born in the Scottish Highlands, relatively close to Inverness. I left when I was 20 after one visit to London for an Alanis Morissette concert - a weekend here made me realise I couldn’t live so remotely any more. In January 2002 I quit my job and moved in with some people I’d only ever talked to on the internet. And keep in mind this was pre-social media, these were people I mostly talked to on IRC, which is like Slack without the emoji. I’ve lived in London ever since - over sixteen years now - and still love it.

I’d love to move to Berlin or Barcelona or another big city in Europe, but I’ve never been able to master the language well enough to be confident enough to try it. I’d doubly love to live in America - New York or LA or San Fransisco, but I know what a nightmare sorting out visas can be. My flatmate literally married an American but can’t get a visa to go live there together.

Started off in Essex. Lived in Cambridge for ten years. Moved to London last year.

As you can see, it’s been quite the journey:

I love Alanis! Quick photo from my shelf

Deluxe edition of Jagged Little Pill and Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie both shown.

Finally saw her live a few years back when Havoc & Bright Lights came out!

What’s your fave Alanis album? I actually really love Flavors of Entanglement as well!

My favourite ever gig was in my first year in London, she had a spare night and put on a tiny concert and only announced it the day before on Virgin Radio, people had to get to the venue on the evening before the gig to get tickets. It was the Water Rats in Kings Cross, which was tiny, and incredible, her hair whipped across everyone in the front rows.

SFIJ is my absolute favourite, though I listen to JLP a lot still. I was a bit disappointed by the reissue with the ‘demo’ tracks, which sound nothing like the demos that have leaked out over the years, they’ve definitely been re-recorded and remastered since they were originally done.

Not too far from me then! I’m in Moseley. I used to do some work out in Redditch and would sometimes have to change trains in Longbridge.

I’m from South Wales / Brecon Beacons. Still here :house_with_garden:

It’s great fun. Exhausting, I could barely walk at the end of the day. I’m terribly unfit though.

For me it would have to be Canada, its like england but bigger and more modern

Dublin. Like London, but will remain in the EU.

Where would I like to live:

Somewhere fancier than where I currently live in London.

If it all goes wrong in the next few years, Dublin. I have the right passport after all.
