I don’t think it’s quite as generic as fosters but yeah I mostly agree. Other than it being a well known brand it’s nothing unique or very special.
I will have a bottle or 2 if someone offers but I have never ordered it myself.
I’m surprised anyone expected it to be anything other than over marketed crap. They all do it (see PRIME et al.)
Tbh when I first saw it, it was in one of my locals that serves good beers. So thought “never seen that, let’s give it a go”. Because they pretty much only serve more Craft beers I assumed it was a goodun’

Trialled this for a week. It’s staying. Why did we not do this earlier?
Connected to Google Home & Home Assistant perfectly & scheduled cleaning set-up - the dawg seems OK with it.
(Dawg as in Charlie - the canine boss of the house)
Very interested in how this copes with “Dawgs”. It’s a never ending cycle of hoovering with ours, but equally she has been know to clog up hoovers in the past.
It’s a bit early to know for sure, but I’ve removed & cleaned the RoboVac brush once and it could have easily gone for another couple of weeks. I haven’t even looked inside the self-empty storage yet - this is supposed to be emptied once every 2 months.
It runs for about 50 mins each day and covers the whole downstairs area.
The floors are incredibly clean - mainly wooden floors with one big rug and a carpeted extension. It gets around/over obstacles very easy, although I had to build a ramp for it to get into/out of the extension which is a step down from the kitchen. There are areas that still need a quick blast with a handheld vac - as it physically can’t get everywhere
Charlie-dawg was ‘aggressive’ with it at first (maybe it looks like a
) but after a week or two he doesn’t even look at it trundling around.
I really want one too but our floors are permanently littered with toys from the kids and dog. It would be a minefield for the vacuum to navigate
Sell kids and dog, get robot vacuum. Solved ![]()
Someone should set up some sort of exchange scheme.
I wouldn’t trade her (my dog) for anything. She might be a total shtbag at times but at least shes our shtbag.
Bought a cheapish (£60) garden wildlife cam from Amazon to see what visits overnight. It actually produces good quality video and has picked up hedgehogs, foxes and this rather special visitor last night…

I had to convert the .mov to .webp (as .mov files aren’t accepted) and it seems to have slowed the video down in places, unfortunately.
That’s very cool. I’ve wanted to set one up ik my parents garden tkmsee what comes visiting. Their housing estate is built on old farm land and nearby I’ve seen a few deers when driving back late at night and foxes. Would be curious to see what comes visiting their vegetable patches and fruit patches at night
I saw a deer in next door’s garden around 5:30 one morning last summer. It’s a suburban housing estate but quite close to a large area of woodland.
Deer, Otter, Heron, Kingfisher - usual daily sightings here (although Otter & Kingfisher notoriously difficult to grab a shot of):
Badgers & Foxes also doing their best to upset the local environment balance, but no chance of a selfie with those nocturnal killaz. Too fast.
Usually get two foxes up and down the road at night, Jax loves watching them play.
The other street cats tend to sit at the end of their driveways when they’re around. All very chill.
Like a scene from animals of farthing wood.
I used to love that as a kid.
on a different note I can almost hear the collective face slap form people thinking why didn’t I just wait one more month…
I was also suuuper close to moving to Pixel - and android but I chickened out at the last minute. Just too far down the apple ecosystem rabbit-hole for that.
I must say, the natural titanium looks mega and a nice change from the godawful titanium blue of my current IPhone 15 pro max.
This is the standard pro not the max so will be interesting having a normal sized phone in my hand again.

Although ecosystem rabbit-holes go deep
I used to be all into Android and some way along the line when iPhones used to be transformational I went in. It boils down to family group chats in iMessage and FaceTime of all things.
If apple actually allowed true proper cross messaging and video support I’d likely have done it.
It’s time for my phone upgrade next month. I would so like to change to android to spice things up but I’m far too deep. AWU2 is my biggest tie in, but I tried an s24 and lasted all of 2 months. Imsg, iCloud, Apple one, Apple TV in every room, AirPods and the iPad. I would have to change too much. Before I got tied in to Apple and living in China where android often out preforms iOS with ecosystem, I loved my xiaomi mi mix 2.
The husband is deep in Apple too, no idea how to ween myself off…
on topic I just got Soundcore X20 for the gym for £65 on offer, having resisted the urge to get Powerbeats pro 2…
It’s certainly one of the things I understand, but equally get annoyed at, Apple about. Like I get it, each manufacturer thinks theirs is the best. But the open borders you have with Android mean to a level if you’ve got a storage or device it’s likely going to work anywhere.
Whereas with apple, it’s very much “Hotel California” in that you can move, but also not really.
For me iMessage, FaceTime for family and the fact nearly all my photos and files for well over 10 years are in iCloud meant it just wasn’t worth the “starting again”. I’m not sure this would be the case the other way around.
