What password manager does everyone use?

I’m looking for a password manager that will allow my partner and I to share passwords with each other and across multiple devices. It looks as though NordPass might fit the bill - anyone got any experience of it or a better choice? R-

Don’t know if your on iOS but iOS 17 allows password sharing

Ah, we each have an iPad and iPhone each but W10 and W11 laptops!
I see Bitwarden getting some good reviews. R-

think there is an iCloud app for windows for the passwords

Thanks both that’s certainly half of the equation, the other half is family sharing. I have looked it up @dudesuper and it seems to be part of the key chain functionality but not until iOS 17. R-

1Password would let you do this

To be honest I would use bitwarden over iCloud.
It’s inherently multi os and means you can basically use any platform. If your phone gets stolen and they have your pin it also means they would have your phone keychain which is why I rarely use it. We don’t allow keychain for that very reason for work use, they get your phone and pin and they have your whole password list.
Everyone I know in security would never use any os built in password manager as it’s something they would get ribbed for badly.

Cheers me dear!

Yep, forgot to mention data leaks. :disappointed_relieved:

Used to always use Last Pass before all this.

If you are okay with what you have then why would you?

Google have enough data already, now passwords?:skull:

I’d rather have an open source approach like Bitwarden, which is also end to end encrypted and can’t be traced by attackers.

I’m also nervous with data-scrapers and passwords. But how many leaks to external sources have Google had (that anyone truly knows about)?

I’m a heavy Bitwarden user too, after switching from Lastpass several years ago for obvs reasons - and the Dark Web monitoring tool from my Google One subscription is an eye-opener for leaks. Forget haveibeenpwned - there are some serious ones here. Most are just email/password leaks (easily side-swiped as no password is ever easy or the same) but one - f*ck - has my name, email address (slightly irrelevant), password (also irrelevant) and HOME ADDRESS

HOME ADDRESS :eyes:

So unless I instigate a deed-poll change and physically move, I’m in someone’s digital cross-hairs. Not good. Be vigilant and careful. Never give up, never back down.

(Of note - If someone emails & claims they’ve recorded you performing lewd acts while you’ve been watching pron using your own laptop camera and will post to all socials unless you pay them off using Bitcoin. Laugh it off. Unless you’ve actually performed lewd acts using your own laptop camera and posted to all socials. In which case it’s an OnlyFans income and you can afford the Bitcoin settlement)

The attackers can take my passwords if I hasn’t used Bitwarden if they want :skull:

I’ve already been pwned multiple times when using compromised sites years ago when I was a minor.

What do you use?

I raise you…

Is this with 1Password? If I sign into YouTube, 1Password pops up at the top-right of my browser (Safari) with a Passkey button to press, which ‘just works’.

Oh right - yeah, that’s pretty hit and miss. Worked OK for a while in Chrome and Safari, then started doing what yours does. 1Password just seems to ignore whatever Google’s putting up on the screen.

I’ve been testing the Google passkeys and even once set up it always tries to push me to a traditional password authentication, with the passkey only available under other options.

Feels like a real miss, as it’s a lovely process when it works.

Are you sure about this? I can’t see anything about it in the release notes.
