1Password Beta has Passkey support
Works nicely in Safari
Proton Pass has left beta and is now available for everybody. I tried it out and it doesn’t even support credit card templates/autofill yet (Proton rep on Reddit says it’s coming soon), not sure how they can say it’s out of beta when it’s missing a feature as basic as that. Quite nice otherwise though, but seems very lacking (no desktop app, no web based UI etc).
I tested it too, but feature-for-feature, it doesn’t stack up to Bitwarden at this point.
I’ll be keeping an
on it though.

No way it’s replacing 1Password for me yet, but I want to see how it goes and lock in the lifetime price.
I caved and did the same. Probably worth the £10.39 for 12 months if it develops well.
Has google fixed it?
Pretty sure you can do the same on android or at least when it was reported you could I thought.
They are toying with adding location details for be sign in prompt to make it a bit clearer. It can be enabled on azureAd right now as that prompt was always lacked enough information.
Passwordless prompts for Microsoft Accounts use a number on screen and gives you 3 options in the Authenticator app to pick from. For Azure AD it shows the number on the login page and you type it in which I’d prefer because I’m always tapping the wrong one by accident.
The only real way you can accidentally approve a login is if you use a password + Authenticator as MFA, but even then it displays a login ID on the phone + login page so you know if you’re approving the right login.
Thats eventually coming to the consumer MS accounts, also in Azure you can enable the new screen where and whats requesting auth which is a lot better.
Yeah I like it, I can see why its staged right now though as some users will be perplexed when the prompt doesnt show their house/office and instead shows where ever the mobile network ip is geotagged.
That’s unusual for them. I was self-hosting Bitwarden at one point, but was a bit worried about my own VM being unreachable, but looks like it would’ve been fine.
Now using 1Password again, which has just been upgraded with Passkey support, which is great ![]()
1Password’s Passkey support is just part of the normal subscription fee
You would hope given how much 1password charges.
I’m using Proton Pass as I get it included in the rest of the proton services I use.
I appreciate it’s not as polished as some password managers but it’s pretty good.
It also allows you to create alias email addresses for logins, that link back to your proton account. So if I site becomes compromised it doesn’t mean your actual email address is out there. I quite like that feature.
lmao exactly, would be drama if they tried charging extra for it
Bitwarden here, forget Last Pass they charge for multiple device usage now.
Used to use Last Pass a lot until this was announced.
hah it’s not the pricing structure that should put people off LastPass
Yep the data

It’s only a tenner, isn’t it?
