Currently listening to Arctic Monkeys - Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not.

Mostly because we saw Old Dirty Brasstards performing it on Sunday night and it’s stuck in my head.

Aside from that, Kiwanuka, Little Simz, Fontaines D.C. as I try and figure out my fav album of the year.

After curiously following a band name mentioned in a BBC Your Money article from a Monzo user, I am currently listening to a band called Black Honey and love the filmography and sound from their latest video, “I Don’t Ever Wanna Love”.

Video set, costume, and location is a throwback to America in the fifties. Take a look.

This is their latest single, and even Alexa managed to find their album from last year to play for me this morning.

I just listen to part of she and it actually sounds pretty decent :joy:.

It sounds like an old fashioned song but modern at the same time.

Exactly that! Proper guitar solo too!

It’s really refreshing because a lot of artists are making songs that are first and foremost playlistable, so short intros and generally under the 4min mark, but this particular track is first and foremost artistic expression and it really works!
