Just started on
Looking forward to this, got to love a bit of South Park, still surprised it’s going after all this time.
I watched the new Space Jam the other night.
I’d read l lots of bad reviews but thought I’d give it a go as a standalone film, and not anything to do with the legendary original. I quite enjoyed it
I’m really excited about getting to watch this soon.
I think it’s got the potential of making me laugh tons and then punching me directly in the gut.
I’ve just found 4 spare hours to finally watch Justice League. Might have to pop to shop though for snacks part way through.
Just put Free Guy on, might make my working day go quicker.
Don’t post this comment in the working from home topic whatever you do
I’ll unleash the buses to come get me
Films just finished, it’s pretty good actually, would recommend.
Not sure if it’s been mentioned before but Letterboxd is a great app for movies!
Saw Dune on Saturday night.
As cinema experience I was pretty blown away. Picture and sound were incredible in imax.
In terms of the movie itself, I thought it was okay. Found it a little slow paced and towards the end it started to drag.
I saw Arrival in the cinema and it was amazing, so I can well believe Dune would be even more outstanding. I know Villeneuve himself says he wants people to see it in the cinema so they can experience it properly, and for once I don’t doubt he actually means it, as opposed to it being narcissistic marketing bobbins.
The problem I have, though, is I don’t think I’m comfortable with going back to a cinema yet. I’ve seen a lot of people say the first 2/3rds of the film is amazing but the last 1/3rd drags, and with a running time over 2.5hrs, which will probably mean over 3hrs sitting in the cinema when you add waiting and trailers and adverts, that’s a long time to be sitting. With a draggy last 1/3rd, there’s every chance I’d fall asleep
I have, I think, talked myself into waiting for the Blu-Ray now.
Looking forward to The French Dispatch.
Shame its cinema only atm afaik
That’s next on my list. Love me some Wes Anderson.
Going to see it in IMAX tomorrow. Been a while since we had a really good cinema release (free guy probably?) so looking forward to this one
I’m looking for some psychological horror for Halloween this year. Anyone seen anything good recently?
Last Night in Soho is cinemas at the end of the month, I believe.
(Obviously haven’t seen it yet, but it’s Edgar Wright so it’s got to be good.)
Bond is awesome!
Just watched Free Guy on Disney+ and really enjoyed it.
I always find films for Halloween disappointing, maybe I’ve become immune to being shocked and scared.
I watched the remake of papillon on Netflix this evening.
It was actually decent especially since I haven’t seen the original.
