Virtual Card - can’t create!

I keep getting an error message when I try and create a virtual card even with Monzo Max

Help!

You’ll have to be a bit more descriptive. What is the error you’re getting? Have you spoken to customer services in app?

I only have one! That’s why I’m so irritated by this. I’m paying for a Monzo Max account too so I don’t understand why I keep getting the error message ?

I have one virtual card on my personal account but just cannot for the life of me create any more for my joint accoubt pots !

I’ve just created a Virtual card to be paid from our Joint account OK (Android). Try the following:

  • Uninstall the Monzo app from your device
  • Restart your device (important)
  • Download & Install the Monzo app
  • Log in to the Monzo app & retry the VC creation

Hello David! Thank you but it didn’t work :persevere:

It’s so odd because it works on my personal account but none of the pots associated with the joint account!

My husband - the other person in the joint account, has had no issues :confounded::confounded:

Thanks for the update and sorry to hear the problem persists. It appears to be related to your account and only Monzo support will be able to fix it

I’d recommend contacting support to discuss directly in-app. To do this from the :monzo: app home screen:

  • Tap on Help (top-right)
  • In the search bar, type ‘Contact support’
  • In the search results, look for ‘Contacting support’ and tap on it
  • Locate the link in the text saying ‘Tap here to get started’ and tap on it. This will take you through a few initial questions and should eventually take you into the in-app chat with :monzo: support
