User authentication

Hi can someone help my app is saying it needs user authentication and I don’t have a clue how to do this.

What exactly is it saying?

Are you being asked to enter a PIN? Or is it a message to say that you may need to ‘authenticate’ with Chip & PIN at a future purchase??

When I click on the account tab it has an error message saying user authentication required

It also won’t update my account balance

This has been known to fix the ‘authentication issue’;

  • Uninstall the Monzo app
  • Restart your device
  • Download & install the Monzo app from the App/Play store
  • Run the Monzo app & login (using the same email address you used to initially sign up to Monzo)
