Use chip and pin after £100 on contactless

Hi,

I have just seen that after a spend of £100 on contactless you will have to use the chip and pin to re-instate the contactless functionality. I understand the security reasons for that, but I find it a little bit unnecessary as the ease of use will be decreased. Monzo already has some issues with the contactless functionality in some stores in the UK. I am worried that by adding that additional “feature”, the user experience would become worse.

Your thoughts?

It’s the law. All banks must do this now.
