Sounds good. I’m on a monthly contract but will definitely mention this to friends already on sim only.

Thank you!

Gonna keep track of this thread. Sounds promising! My contract with Three is up in a few months and whilst it’s cheap the signal is fairly poor (in my area at least…)

Thank you! We think so

Not for me. But I wish you every success.

I’m going to need support for Apple’s Wi-Fi Calling on iCloud devices, Apple Watch eSIM, and such from my next carrier but I absolutely will be watching this. :eyes:

I have no doubts they will do this in the long-term but as it stands if they’re relying on their “network enabler” to handle most of the tech they definitely can’t support that. :pensive:

Thank you, Rika! As Andre mentioned, we won’t have these from the start (as it stands, only 1 carrier in the UK supports the Apple Watch…), but we couldn’t become the best network without supporting them when possible

Honestly though, you could add IMS support (required for Wi-Fi calling on other devices via iCloud) by using your own systems as long as you can 1) get your network enabler to forward the “ims” and “sos” APNs to your own systems, and 2) get a carrier profile from Apple to actually tell the phone that your network supports IMS (your network enabler and/or the host network should help with obtaining one of those).

Do you only offer up to 30GB? That’s quite expensive as well :frowning:

I’m tied into EE for another year and and a sixth, but maybe when the contract expires you’ll have reduced your costs a bit and have more data available

Also, do you allow tethering?

(To give a bit of perspective, I get 100GB/mo on EE, which resets on the 26th of the month. I currently have 72GB left.)

For now… Catering to those usage levels (60, 100GB+) isn’t our immediate goal, but I don’t see why we can’t do that down the line

Mind if I ask what you’re paying for 100GB/month? The highest SIM-only I can see on their site is 40GB…

Absolutely! And without limit :sunny:

Originally, £73/mo (with iPhone 8+). It was also an Annual Upgrade package, but I’m (probably) not going to use that.

It’s now gone up to £75.97/mo with the April increase (which I didn’t notice until last month).

It also includes usage in alternative countries like the USA, Canada, Australia and a couple of other non-EU ones.

Hi, will you have access to EE’s 800MHz 4G layer? (VoLTE / 4G calling required) Without access to it, EE becomes useless round here, but because I’m on EE pay monthly I get 800MHz which transforms the signal everywhere I go. On PAYG, with no access to 800MHz, it’s one bar of 3G if you’re lucky!

Because EE limit access to 800MHz, I’m fairly certain the answer is no… As far as I’m aware, none of their MVNO’s have access to it, including BT (their parent company!). I’ll double check, and thank you for asking

They do indeed limit access, but recently BT Mobile did gain access, being the first EE MVNO to get it, though understandable as they are indeed the owners
800MHz access is wishful thinking I guess, but I’ll certainly take a look when you launch, I wish you the best of luck with it

Aha, thanks for the correction! BT perks

Thank you! Who knows what the 800MHz future holds…
