I have recently added my Monzo account to my tablet, only to find out I was then logged out on my phone. Very surprised, that with most people nowadays having many devices that we can only be logged into one at a time, and having to go through the password passcode messing about when logging back in. Surely being logged into 2 devices should be a thing ?
You can if they’re two different operating systems:
I don’t have 2 different operating systems, why would anyone work with 2 different operating systems? You are either android or Apple, I don’t know many people who would go between the two. That makes the situation even more unreasonable, they can’t even say it’s a security thing if you can log in with different phones from Apple or android. Just doesn’t make sense
Plenty of reasons. I use a phone running Android, but if I were to purchase a tablet, it would almost definitely be an iPad (running iPad OS).
So you just said one only uses either OS but not both, and then proceeded to say that you know people who use both OS!
Android doesn’t make phones . Phones can run the Android OS though.
I’m not saying this system is perfect, but it’s currently what Monzo offers. The best thing you can do is either upvote some topics related to this, or write a complaint if it really annoys you.
What are you rambling about? This is not twitter I am not going to have a point proving argument with you, if you’re bored go and troll somewhere else
This is a simple request, an idea, under ideas and feed back. Most banks have this option could I have it please? Agree or disagree whatever move on.
It’s been a request since Monzo started. It isn’t happening.
I noticed, people have been asking for this for years. Yet no reasonable reason why it hasn’t been implemented. it should be happening as most banks offer this and enough people seem to want it.
It will be based on how they’ve implemented security and didn’t think this through. The fact you can do it with two operating systems is a bug really, but just happens to be a feature (for some)
It’s really not that popular. Add up all the votes split across and even if you say that nobody has voted twice, it’s barely 100 votes in 6 years. The vast majority of people don’t care and I suspect this in large part because Monzo on a tablet is terrible. So most people don’t even bother. If there was an iPad app ever then they’d need to fix multi-device support. A bit chicken and egg, but both the chicken and the egg are on their way to KFC, not a fun-filled farm.
Is it worth having to reengineer the app so you can use an iPhone and iPad at the same time for the tiny tiny % of customers that want it? Probably not. So that’s why it’s not been done.
The first question would be how many of monzo customers actually come here? I guess not that many
the experience on tablet is terrible as its a phone app blown up to fill a tablets screen and not design for tablets!
Monzo are the only on of the main fintech banks that doesn’t support tablets as revolut and starling bank.
I have Monzo on both my iPhone and Pixel phone. Works as expected
Not many at all, but a percentage is a percentage. The sort of person that joins to vote or voice their opinion is already an outlier.
You can see the top voted things and which have been completed. Multiple login is way down the list.
Exactly, so why can’t I do it on my android tablet? It should be a thing.
You can have it on your Android tablet and also on an iPhone
You can’t have it on your Android tablet and also on an Android phone
You can have it on just your Android phone
You can have it on just your Android tablet
It’s always been this way since the introduction of the Android app.
As @Revels notified above, you can vote for the Multiple login feature but it isn’t high on the list of requested features.
I think we’ve already worked out what we can’t have. That’s why I am asking for it.
When Monzo first started I couldn’t have a free sausage roll. Yet I can now, things can change even without a vote
You could get a Greggs sausage roll using points accumulated with Monzo Plus v1, until that disappeared. Things can go the other way too.
Vote away: it’s 114th in the list of open requested features:
Voting makes zero difference. It’s not happening.
I don’t want a web interface. But I’ll vote anyway, even though that’s 6 years old. Because it’s ok to be ok about what someone else needs or wants
I have a related question because I didn’t know about the Android/iOS bug (or feature if you prefer).
What happens if both are logged in at the same time? Do both get a warning that another device is logged in? Can both transact at the same time? If they do presumably some sort of security kicks in, perhaps logging one of them out? (or worse)
Is the security designed with the premise that only one device can be logged in at a time?
If you log into another device then you get kicked off the other one. Then you have to remember your password and code to get back into your first one again
Monzo doesn’t have a password…
I’d hope that one would be able to remember a 4 digit PIN, that is the same as the one on their card
