TransUnion score and details wrong on Monzo app but right on my TransUnion report

I have accessed my TransUnion credit report these ways :
Directly with TransUnion = shows correct details all accounts inc mortgage
Credit Karma = shows correct details all accounts inc mortgage
MSE app = shows correct details all accounts inc mortgage
Monzo =

Wrong credit score
Doesn’t have mortgage
Doesn’t have any account records

This means :

  • I can not apply for the Monzo credit card as it says “you have no credit history.”
  • I can not link my mortgage as Monzo can’t find it. (Emma and other services found it no problem).
  • The credit tool on Monzo is wrong and therefore useless to me.

It does list in the Monzo app that I have perfect scores with Equifax and Experian (which is correct) but that doesn’t seem to affect their assessment that I have no credit history. I think only TransUnion is actually used for these other elements and since the TransUnion score is not absent but wrong (only wrong on the Monzo app) I think the link to this is where the issue is.

I have been chatting to Monzo customer support via the app but I keep getting the same answer: “If you have something wrong on your credit report contact the credit agency.”

I have tried to explain in every way I can think of, that my credit report itself is correct. It shows everything using every way I have to check it except on Monzo. I think Monzo have me connected to someone else’s file. But I can make no progress.

I feel like if a human did a search this could be solved. E.g found oh there is a slight variation in home address formatting. It seems on support chat they are only following script and can’t actually look into this issue.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi. Welcome.

This is having zero impact on whether Monzo let you apply for Flex. Banks don’t use any of them to make a decision, they’ll have their own formula. More likely is that you don’t get paid in to Monzo, change that and give it a few months and you’ll have more luck.
