Traitors (TV show)

I have one episode left of Australia season 1 (so no spoilers! Although I do think I already know what happens…) but that psychic was just strange. What was the point of her? Why did she go on? She just confused me so much!

I’m excited already.

FWIW, if not already generally known, it was confirmed after Doctor Who today that Season 2 will air ‘early in the New Year’.

And…there will be a spin off ‘visual podcast’ to go alongside it (like Bake Off’s Bit on the Side?)

The Traitors: Uncloaked will feature appearances from cast members and celebrity guests all offering their “best analysis and reaction to the latest betrayals, mind games and manipulations*”.*

“Each episode will feature an exclusive interview with the contestants that get banished and murdered along the way, and bonus unseen footage where they learn the identity of the Traitors for the very first time,” teases the podcast synopsis.

We have a date, and there’s only a month to go:

Big day tomorrow!

If anyone wants to check out who the contestants are - here’s a list of them all

Looks like the schedule is Wed-Fri 9pm on BBC one.

And this year, like Bake Off and the Apprentice, there’s the spin-off/BTS show The Traitors: Uncloaked on BBC2, Friday 10pm.

Oh hello there Harry.

From the little text we have about each contestant, it looks like a real mix again - which is great.

He’s hot, I believe.

Actually there are a few this season…

Reminder of no spoilers for those who have yet to watch!

For the next six weeks, this should be everyone’s best friend here:

(Especially mine, as I probably won’t be able to start watching properly until the weekend/Friday at the earliest :sob: But at least then I’ll get the chance to binge however much they’ve stuck on iPlayer at that point.)

I’m torn on the spoiler front and tend to lean on the side of the thread should be avoided if you’re worried about things being spoiled.

Otherwise potentially every post about a live or recent episode is going to need blurring.

  • Spoilers should be blurred
  • Enter the discussion at your own risk, spoilers should be expected

It’s both though isn’t it? It’s hardly a chore to blur your post, but also what are you doing here if you don’t want to see spoilers?

I guess it can be both, but I think the spoiler blur is more suited to posts that mentions specifics in a place that you may not expect them, for example discussing Traitors in the TV Licence thread.

Whereas a thread that’s specifically geared towards discussing Traitors shouldn’t need the blur when that very thing is being discussed.

But, that’s just like, my opinion man, and will respect whatever the consensus is

So, no spoilers but…

Whoever does the music on this show must have the most fun - what over-melodramatic versions of songs can I find?
Also, they must realise that their target audience for this show is people who grew up in the 90s

Secondly, it took me until the end of the first episode to realise Ross wasn’t just Brian at the end of the day with 5 o’clock shadow.

On the discussion of spoilers for this. As iPlayer is showing it in advance of BBC One, it makes sense to keep spoilers covered. Also, this thread was started last year because there were people in the general TV chat who were frustrated that we took over that chat for the 3 weeks of the show so we moved over to a dedicate chat instead. Unless we’re going to have a separate ‘Traitors - no spoilers’ chat alongside a ‘Traitor - spoilers’ chat, it would be nice to keep spoilers hidden.

The music is great. Last year they put out a Spotify playlist with the versions they use. Hope they do the same this year. Loved Gangstas Paradise in the second episode!
