For anyone who feels like they’re missing out on going to a preview event, one user Periscoped most of Tom’s talk at today’s event.
The bit that we didn’t get to see at this month’s open office, is Monzo’s consultation with the community about ATM / fair usage fees, that starts about 10 minutes in…& then unfortunately gets cut off midway though 
even so, you get a sense of where they’re going with this -
Where do we post companies that will not accept the Monzo current account number and sort code?

Are the press getting early access? Tom Warren at The Verge has a debit card…
He must have signed up to the event last night. I feel like he’s mentioned the pre-pay card before?
First slide said 1.6% but Tom said it was the wrong slide, then the correct one was brought up saying 16%.

Saw a new Mastercard logo in the wild today. My colleague signed up to the pre-pay two days ago, through a golden ticket of mine. She showed me her card today, with the new logo.
Bit envious.

Almost tempted to ‘lose’ the pre-pay card I don’t use anymore and to ask for a replacement ;D
(…I won’t, I’d feel guilty about slowing down real customers getting theirs.)
(If I really do lost my card in the next few weeks, it’s going to look very suspicious)

I would actually consider my prepaid card precious, as a souvenir of Monzo’s beta. When Monzo takes over the world we’d look at those cards and say “I was there from the beginning!”

What do we think the magic number is for switching from the rollout events at the office in London to sending the cards out by mail and using the app to do the verification piece remotely?
My wife signed up to prepay last week and did the selfie video etc for that… worked really well.
