We’ve been twice over the years, as well as Siam Park, and I couldn’t recommend it enough.
Love Prague - great city.
We went to Turkey last year. We also went to Land of Legends which is the countrys largest theme park which was pretty good!
Just arrived in Menorca today for a break away. Resort is quite quiet but at least it’s nice and warm
Random question:
How many cards do you take on holiday? Referring to debit and credit.
Normally 4 - 2 Debit and 2 Credit mainly just in case of any problems with either card
Monzo is main card I use abroad and never had an issue with it
1 debit 1 credit
I just take the same set of cards I usually carry (and I only carry cards because my Driving Licence is in the same card holder).
I can’t remember the last time I used a physical card abroad, though, apart from at an ATM to withdraw cash for Mrs Anarchist.
So, to answer the actual question:
AmEx - not used abroad
Monzo - cash withdrawal
Nationwide Credit
Not been abroad since 2017 where I always just took cash but times have changed.
Figure I’ll take Monzo, Starling, Monzo Flex and my Barclaycard which is VISA.
I’ll be taking Zing on next holiday so that I’ve got a Visa back-up
Just remembered I do have Kroo debit card which is Visa but they don’t have a good rep on here.
Been giving them a go this last few days. Zero issues.
Just for spending?
Yeah they failed my O2 direct debit aaaaaages ago, probably near launch, so not trusting them with that
Just back today from a week and a half hiking and wild camping and wild swimming on Skye. Truly stunning island, a unique view at every turn!
Also saw a few different whales, some otters, Golden Eagles and Sea Eagles and tonnes of other wildlife. And had a couple of drams of Talisker 25 at the distillery too. All in all, a good adventure (but boy do my legs ache this morning!)
I have a couple of direct debits with them 1 is dvla and not had any problems with them they usually leave account about 3am
I am currently abroad and have 3 debit cards (Monzo, HSBC Global, Chase)
For Europe, Bankera for cash.
Nationwide credit and debit.
I’d like a free international MasterCard but in the absence of that, Chase debit.
Curve as it lets me take all the cards.
It’s always good to have both V and MC as not everywhere takes both.
I’ve done multiple months abroad with Monzo and Apple Pay, and nothing else
That’s my default way of using the cards, but the gpay limit overseas has forced me to use the actual card as, of course, I need to do if I need cash.
Even have to use the actual card in Tesco as the limit for gpay in the local ones is £100.
