Summarized daily notification

Hi!

This is just a minor suggestion: would it be possible to include options to have push notifications after every transaction (as it currently is), or one notification at the end of the day summarizing all the transactions of that day, or even one notification at the end of the week, etc? Speaking as somebody who makes several tiny transactions a day and finds every red unopened notification sign irresistible/tiresome to click on but still want to keep a general eye out for overall transactions.

This is Monzo’s USP! (Starling notwithstanding)

If you’re using iOS why not create your own rules by not storing the notifications in the Notification Centre (so when they disappear from the screen, they’re gone) and/or disabling the red notification badge on the app?

Seems a bit much to ask Monzo to provide granular options when you can already do all this in Settings.

Doing this will then disable all notifications including the ones if someone tries to use your card without your knowledge.

No it won’t. You can select notifications to still appear (Badges EDIT: I meant BANNERS disappear after a few seconds, Alerts require a tap to acknowledge) but can additionally turn off sending these alerts to the Nofification Centre, where they are usually stored. Icon badges can also be switched on or off independently.

Badges stay there all the time until you open the app so they are either on or off

There is no option for alerts only banners again temp or persistent so in this case would be temp meaning would be missed

Turn off notification center then you won’t see them till you open the app

Basically there are no real granular options, it is either on or off.

I seem to have completely different Notification options to you, which would allow what I have described:

I have iOS 11 so this will be the norm

Gotcha. The overriding factor being that :mondo: Monzo might need to change their setting periodically as Apple evolve their Settings.

I think Apple just overrides it as it was the same before Monzo updated their app for instance they have now they have changed the location setting to overide apps that force you to always use your location.
