I ordered an item from an independent seller on 3rd of march and it didn’t arrive for over a month (still has not) and so I raised a dispute in April. I’ve been in contact with the seller and they’ve refused to accept the chargeback as they say it’ll cost them more money. They have told me that they will refund me if I decline the dispute which sounds suspicious.
They’ve just declined the dispute and gave evidence with a screenshot of tracking information which says it’s been delivered, but I have messages from the seller which says they’ve been in contact with their country’s courier (EU) and have returned the item back to them.
I’m hesitant to trust the seller and decline the dispute but Monzo chat have not been helpful to me and keep saying a specialist team is reviewing the dispute. I’m unsure if I decline the dispute or keep pushing as it seems like it’s up to the merchant whether they accept or not and not Monzo.
I’m unsure what to do in this situation as it has been over 3 months and I really would just like my money back, but I’m scared I’m going to get scammed and Monzo won’t take my side despite my evidence
