Pending transaction with Klarna

Here is the story,

Back on September 12th I tried to buy a printer from Argos using Klarna to pay for it in 3.

There was a glitch when I did the order and it didn’t go through at Argos however Klarna has it on their system as an order with an order number.

I waited the 7 days for the pending transaction to drop off my account but it’s still there and of course I can’t use those funds.

I reached out to Argos who told me that there actually isn’t an order as it never went through and to contact Klarna.

Klarna have been remarkably unhelpful and told me there is an order with Argos and to contact Argos to confirm the order is cancelled.

Argos are unable to give me confirmation that the order is cancelled because it doesn’t exist in the first place. They sent me a message to this effect and said that this can be used as proof to give to Klarna to cancel the order their end.

Unfortunately, this isn’t good enough for Klarna and they insist that Argos send a message containing the order number!

So I’ve been running round in circles and getting nowhere.

My question is will this transaction still automatically drop off after the maximum 30 days or is it likely I’ll need to contact Monzo to raise a dispute?

It’s been remarkably stressful, Argos have done everything they could but Klarna are being unreasonable as surely an email confirmation saying no order went through should be enough.

Or can I contact Monzo before the 30 days and show the proof that the order didn’t go through and how unreasonable Klarna have been to get the money released sooner?
