Paying cash in a retailer shop paypoint not accepting it, they say it cost them money to take your cash
It does cost them but they shouldn’t be turning you away.
Report them to PayPoint. And then try Co-Op.
It does cost them money, and a shop can refuse to serve whoever they want, so you can complain, but you don’t have a right to make them serve you. From another thread on here, PayPoint gives the shop 10p commission for every transaction, but it costs the shop 70p in every £100 to deposit the cash in the bank, so you can understand why making a loss on you paying into your bank account is going to lead to a refusal.
