Payment Support

I work for Amazon Flex and payments are made on Wednesdays at dawn. The last payment was made on 25th December and it has not appeared in my account yet.
I sent an email to Amazon and they they confirm the payment has been made and told me to contact my bank. Please, where is my payment?

You should contact Monzo in the app. This is a community forum, we can’t help with this unfortunately.

If they had sent it, you’d have it.

Do they pay by BACS or Faster Payments? Nobody is working on Christmas Day, and Boxing Day is also a Bank Holiday. The earliest a payment due on the 25th could have been sent is today – if it’s via Faster Payment you’ll get it today, if it’s via BACS you’ll get it next week.

I opened this thread to see if anyone else was in the same situation. I’ve never been through this before and Monzo didn’t send any messages to customers, I found it very careless on their part. Anyway, my payment went through early this morning. Thank you very much for interacting. Merry Christmas to all.

In this case I’d suggest Monzo didn’t do anything wrong to be honest. Your employer should’ve told you which alternative day it would appear.

The Faster Payment service works 24/7/365, so a Faster Payment sent on Christmas Day would still have been received straightaway.

But there wouldn’t have been an accounts department sending payments on Christmas Day.

Also if it’s a forward dated Faster Payment / Standing Order, it won’t send on a non-working day, even if manual Faster Payments do.

Oh I bet there are. I’d imagine it’s a skeleton staff but still. Plus a lot of large multi nationals outsource this to places where Christmas isn’t even a thing. In a previous life my payroll was done in Chennai for example.
