Hey guys,
Just need some advice, yesterday I was told a payment would be in my bank today so I assumed it would be bacs. I’ve looked and nothing is showing. Does it update at a later time or during the night ?

Bacs is 3 working days from the day sent. Chaps or faster payment is same or next working day depending on the option chosen.

It could be the person or company sending it makes a manual payment today. If it’s not arrived by mid afternoon it’s worth chasing this up with the sender.
As noted above, if paid by bacs or similar type of automated payment it should have arrived by now.

It’s either a payment made today via Faster Payments or a payment that is being initiated today via BACS
If it’s the first one, you’ll receive it at an unknown time today (likely during working hours)
If it’s the second one, the actual deposit in your account will be 3 working days from now, so Tuesday. It’ll show as a greyed-out transaction in the Monzo app today and you’ll be able to claim it at 4pm on Monday if it meets the get-paid-early requirements. But the fact it isn’t showing already makes me believe it’s a transaction via FP

I’ll keep an eye out for it today as they said it’ll be in there today.
