As Glasgow says, it’s still within the permitted time for a faster payment transfer. I appreciate that’s no use to you when you’re waiting for your money. :crossed_fingers: it arrives soon

Your not the only one , time will tell as they say

I’m just glad that the transfer wasn’t urgent. Just irritating at this stage. I’m just banking on it landing tomorrow (excuse the pun )

Mine is urgent , bloody typical , and surely today is not a banking day ???

So how exactly did Monzo lie on the chat?

I’m sure if they knew were you money was they would of told you

They lied by telling me the money would be in by 24 hours and also at 5 pm yesterday they said there was no problem with any transfers , also told me to contact Lloyds for a CPR which Lloyds cannot do from my say so

Faster payment scheme

  • please all note whilst most payments are instant the actual guarantee is it will be in your account the following working day by 5pm.
I appreciate it’s frustrating for all of us but this is reality.

I’m afraid to say within UK banking there is only 1 way to guarantee a same day transfer & im talking Monday - Friday - it’s called CHAPS.
That’s the reality we live in that some transfers don’t go through instantly.
I’ve had my fair share of these over last few years and Monzo as a new bank are not immune to this.

Obviously so many monzo warriors here constantly backing them up when truth is they’re a badly run bank with the rudest untrained staff

Nope. What you’re offering is an opinion, and balancing it against other, different opinions. All of these opinions are based on experience. Some people have a good experience, some bad.

Your opinion is as valid as anyone else’s, but it’s not necessarily the truth.

No it’s not my opinion it’s fact I was lied to three times by three different people yesterday not opinion facts

OK. My ‘fact’ is that in all of the times I’ve had to contact Monzo, I wasn’t lied to, and the staff weren’t rude.

So two mutually exclusive ‘facts’ pointing two two different conclusions means that they aren’t facts, they’re opinions.

Just a note to say that the money landed this morning

I understand that you’re frustrated but the people on here are not to blame. We can’t help you get your money quicker even if we wanted to. All we can do is try to help you understand what is possibly going on and why. The key word here is help. We’re not defending Monzo because you think we’re all “Monzo warriors”, we’re just stating facts from reputable external sources to try and help you understand the answer to the question you’ve asked.

Once you’ve calmed down and got to the root cause, you need to direct your grievance to the in app chat and open a formal complaint should it still be relevant.

Anyone experiencing delays today? I transferred some money from my Marcus account to my Monzo account and nothing yet in almost 3 hours.

Need the money by Wednesday so hope I have it by then haha.

When you get to the four hour mark - contact CS they will be able to help plus if you report an issue it may highlight a problem which can be looked into further.

Over the weekend Inbound Transfers were taking 2 hours for me from HSBC.

This is from Marcus help page.

Payments from your Marcus account to your linked account are usually made within two hours and at the latest by the end of the following business day.

If this doesn’t happen, it might be because we are checking the payment as we think your account is at risk of fraud or unauthorised use. It might also be because allowing the payment through would cause us to breach a law or regulation.

This is the reason Customer Services are taking an unreasonably long time to get back to people – customers are clogging the system up with needless questions about their payments taking a long time, as recommended by well–meaning folk on here.

The Faster Payment system gives a limit of next business day for your payment to reach its destination, when it isn’t instant. So contact Monzo by all means after the next working day, but not after four hours, because that is deemed acceptable.

And if your transfer is urgent, remember to take this outside limit into account when planning the transfer.
