I am actually peaking slightly better for once.
We had better a few weeks ago mind.
Only been with Octopus less than a week and got a free hour of electricity later today, so will give my oven a pyrolytic clean. 
That shit scares me. I finally have an over with that function, but after reading about ovens setting themselves or their surroundings on fire or the glass just exploding, I think I’ll stick with the good old fashioned oven cleaner approach.
I want an oven with a steam clean function now.

The problem is that electricity is so cheap (if you’re Agile) when they run these offers. Your not gonna make money.

There was nobody home for my first Free Electricity Session.
We used 0.28kWh compared to our usual 0.45kWh. Mind-blowing!
We managed 6 times that amount. Yup, 12p
Free electricity when used over and above the normal during a set time isn’t for the innovative-types who like to shave micro-pence off utility costs wherever possible.
Getting paid to use electricity however…

Must have a very low base usage
I have a home battery, so typically don’t draw anything during the day. Scheduled an export period during the morning so that the battery had space for a full charge during the free period. In the other sessions I also charged my EV. So might get a little more back from those.

Ah fairs, my base is very high unfortunately 
I signed up and get the notifications of hourly slots but I’ve had no emails about my usage on the 15th so far.
Because my smart meter doesn’t give them updates, I got the average spend of all customers - 18p.
So thanks everyone. I got more than some who actually used more energy
