Monzo does a great job of notifying you when a direct debit amount changes up or down. This should be extended to recurring payments done on card, such as Netflix.
Wouldn’t it be tricky for them to do this ahead of time? Monzo don’t have sight of the charge until the payment is made, I thought?
It is the same for DDs, these just take one working day to clear and you know about them (greyed out) in that time. Card payments are just instant.
