Not enough cash to cover vehicle tax DD

Hey team, I have a pesky Direct Debit for car tax tomorrow but not enough cash to cover. I’m in between jobs and waiting for my new job payday to kick in in the 15th. When it fails, will the DVLA gastopo team come and crush my car, burn my house and lock me up🤔 #joke
My life is one big direct debit.

this should help you:

Basically they will try again after 4 days and if it fails again your vehicle is officially no longer taxed and until you pay you can’t drive your vehicle and should declare it SORN to avoid the £80 fine
