New Monzo Card (Premium) Wont Add to Apple Pay

Tried all those now and nope, still unable to add.

If I go direct through Monzo I get this:

Which then sets the app off on a loop of showing this and looping if I say OK:

Hmm. I’ve had this In the past. A few things to try.

  1. Delete all Monzo cards and re add them both via the app and Apple Wallet.
  2. Try to add via both app and wallet, if it doesn’t work try the other one.
  3. Contact support. In my case there was an issue where when you first try to add a card via the app and then cancel off (for some reason) it then errors out and won’t let you do it again. I had to wait for the new Card to arrive before starting again.

Workaround: create virtual card and assign to pot.

I’ll try deleting the Flex card as well and see if that helps.

Well deleting Flex allowed me to add my debit card.

Only now I cannot add my Flex card again because the same error is coming up :dotted_line_face:

I also cannot add my debit card to my Apple Watch now, same error comes up.

Is there some Monzo/Mastercard issue?

I added my flex today to Apple wallet and Apple Watch with no problems.

I seem to have issues adding more than one. I am lost of trying, will just leave it for support/try again tomorrow.

It might resolve itself. I’ve had issues before where it was a Mastercard/app issue and it just worked the day after.

Hopefully support can help get your flex card added.

Well alas support have told me to remove all cards again and now I can’t re-add any Monzo cards to Apple Pay :confused:

I’m not sure if this helps but I just removed and successfully readded my only Mastercard (HSBC Credit) successfully.

Sounding like something between your Monzo cards and Apple Pay. Unusual.

Have you deleted all items off wallet, restarted the device and tried it both ways. Have you checked the cards are not frozen. Perhaps even freeze and unfreeze then readd.

All very strange.

So far I’ve just deleted everything from Apple Pay, from
Safari autofill, from Apple Watch and I’ll try re-adding. Frustratingly the Monzo app still thinks I have the card added to Apple Pay:

That probably explains it. I wonder if someone at their end can remove it.

Also “you need to speak to Apple Pay” - are support really that uneducated.

I did mention this to them and asked if they could delete their end given the Monzo app says it’s added:
