@Rat_au_van’s right. If you plan on working for a reasonably large company they often run background checks as part of their hiring process. If your job is to involve anything like finance you may find it somewhat difficult.
This only really applies to larger organisations though and you likely won’t find smaller firms bothering to run such checks.
I want a part time / temporary job in retail. Such as for seasonal vacancies. Do you know what checks they do? I’m not sure if it will affect it because CIFAs and retail are two completely different things
Only note of caution: Obviously don’t over-volunteer information, but the thing more serious to them then any marker would be for you not to declare it if asked directly/explicitly
I need further advice. I’ve recently run into more problems. My dad wants to go to NatWest tomorrow and talk to them about my situation. They’ve already given me a marker I’m sure. I’m honestly terrified because I don’t know what could happen. There are more chances of it getting worse than getting better no? I can’t persuade my dad to leave it. That person who did this to me has my personal details and people are worried. I’m so worried. Please help.
I also can’t see how it could possibly get worse? What are you fearing that they will do?
As mentioned above it’s highly likely they will tell your Dad that there’s nothing they can do in branch. You’ll then be given a phone number or something to telephone a specialist department that deals with this for when you get back home.
I’m worried that I could go to prison. The bank haven’t contacted the police but could they now if I say I did this dumb thing? My dad expects me to try and take me off the blacklist and for me to show a little evidence that I was lured in.
i don’t think your dad understands how this works. You haven’t actually said afaik what happened but I presume you allowed your bank account to be used by fraudsters?
Yes just that. He expects to say I made a mistake and I have a screenshot of the person asking for my details. This is probably not enough evidence, but it they can’t we hope to carry out an investigation on this guy because I have his username on social media.
Personally I think you should give the info as these people need to be stopped
But someone offered money to use your account and you did despite knowing that there must be something dodgy and it was against the terms and conditions?
