Awesome!
American Express and Vodafone look great.
Can I request Bristol Energy, MBNA, and Newday get the same treatment?

Noticed this earlier and its looking great! Can I request Legal & General and Green Flag Breakdown?
Can I request Bristol council tax, ratesetter and eon?
Or a manual nickname?
So, can we not tell if a payment is card or DD without clicking into the transaction? PayPal has DD and card payments from me for example, as does Barclaycard and a few others, knowing which kind of payment helps me instantly know what the payment was for
Thatās a good point.
Iād like to see the DD logo as a flair on the icons for direct debits, and maybe the MasterCard logo as a flair on card paymentsā¦

As an Android user - Iāve basically given up.
Iām not a developer, I donāt know what the complications are - but itās been well over a year and nothing big has changed on Android. Iāve seen other similar apps on Android being built from nothing in this time. I know Android developers who could build an app in a week (or less). Itās just getting silly now.
Iāve gone back to my legacy bank for the time being and and Iām testing a combination of legacy + Curve + aggregators. Open banking should be a game changer.
Iām not closing my account in a huff or anything, Iām keeping it open and just not using it as my main account anymore - but I do feel really let down by Monzo over Android.
Plus I canāt help feeling that the more mainstream Monzo gets, the more Android users theyāre going to be putting off forever. Seeing all the features and screenshots, getting excited - then signing up and thinking WTF is this half-arsed jumble of an app?
Bet they were apps of real quality and suitable for a bank.

Canāt say I blame you, there really hasnāt been any substantial development of features for the Android app except Android Pay
Someone should work this out properly - but Iām sure the non-development on Android time has been a lot longer than the initial time of iOS development before Android was started on.
So was the initial iOS app not worthy of Monzo?
The āinitial time of iOS development before Android was tarted onā didnāt coincide with development of back-end payment processor and moving everyone to a current account, it is not comparable with current Android development. What has recent iOS development been like these last few months? It looks like they are completely reworking targets, meaning that both platforms will get v2 of this at a similar time. We should start seeing much more growth in Android features this year.
BTW: Iām Android user
This is what was said throughout last year and at various times since - and pretty much nothing has changed.
Not more beautiful

I still havenāt had any more of mine beautified
I guess the Monzo-loompas have better things to do than enter small energy providers like Bristol Energy and big credit card companies like MBNA
- theyāre probably busy working on Pear Pay!
muhahahaha
I want my next student loan payment beautified when it shows up on the list at the end of March⦠I know Google direct credits arenāt beautified, has anyone had a beautified direct credit?
Liam
I get paid on Wednesday so we will find out as the Direct Debit for the company I work for has been beautified
They pay you via DD? Or you pay them back for a service via DD?
I get paid by BACS but I have a direct Debit with them for the service they provide
Ah, I wondered where this had come from! Nice to see the updates rolling through.
Are there any plans to allow us to hide the direct debit reference from the transaction list view? After seeing some posts here, itās clear some people seem to find the reference useful, but I donāt think Iāve ever needed a direct debit reference, and although this topic title is More Beautiful Direct Debits in Your Monzo Account, I donāt think they will be truly beautiful until those ugly references are hidden (or at least until thereās an option to hide them).
The reference could be displayed when clicking into the transaction perhaps?
