I partly agree. Bringing JA parity and evolving from there would be great.
But it’s, I think, more than 2 years since it last really changed isn’t it? Has premium changed all that much since launch in terms of offerings. I can’t fully remember.
I’m also thinking of evolution being that. Changing insurance cover isn’t that. Changing the level, for example, of the phone insurance to include family would be a good evolution.
Hoping to see when we get an update.

The Nationwide one that people talk about a lot, that’s been largely the same for a long long time.
I think there’s a temptation for people to want Monzo to reinvent the wheel, especially for us banking nerds, but that isn’t realistic. There’s some ideas in here that make absolutely zero sense and will never ever happen.
If they have a solid offering, which I think they do already, it just needs some tweaks and improvements. I think changing the levels of cover is exactly the sort of evolution it could be. Not starting from scratch and doing something completely different again.
Get JA to a level playing field with all the things personal accounts have and the challenges that creates. Then work on improving.

I don’t use any of the budgeting/tracking features and I don’t have a joint account, so none of this matters to me.
But I’m annoyed that I no longer get interest on all the money in my account, wherever it is. And, if I don’t have funds in main, I’d love it if money could automatically come out of an available pot, rather than a payment bouncing.
I do use the insurance cover, so keeping and improving that would be good.
And finally a more comprehensive cash back offer - like Chase - rather than the current half baked Monzo offering would be great.
